Points discussed:

Lawyer for PIL against dumping ground: Jeetubhai suggested we appoint our own lawyer and he is ready to bear the cost for it. The cost for the lawyer needs to be prenotified to him.

Temporary lightening near mulund gate: He is ready to do that once the DP road work is complete, phase one of which is near completion.

We also discussed the proposed DP road. In phase one, we still need to pass by the toll, however, the toll will get eliminated after phase two.

Security at gates: Soham is not ready to bear the cost anymore. He has asked us to take initiative to collect money and get security now that the apex body has been formed.

We requested him if he can bring together all people concerned in the apex body so we can form a committee to work towards the maintenance and upkeep. He requested us to take initiative and give him a draft of the letter and he is ready to print and distribute it to all residents in Hari Om Nagar. He suggested that we bring in like minded people who are ready to do good work as an apex and take over the maintenance from him. He also mentioned that whatever help in terms of money and resources he will help us.

We will soon meet and discuss the plan of action to be taken on this.

Next step

Will try and meet Chaitanya Parekh tomorrow. Dr Chavan of Kamdhenu building 14 will set this up for us. We need to meet and discuss a slew of point with him. Hope for a positive result.

Good News Part II: Minutes of meeting with Mr Shirsagar Asst Commissioner BMC

We met Asst Commissioner Shirsagar today with our issues: Here are the minutes of meeting:

1. Encroachment: He has ordered demolision immediately. We should expect demolishion hapenning this week.

2. Lights: He will involve MSEB and other departments for temporary lights for the approach road.

3. Temporary road for pedestrain: A temporary road will be constructed for us as earlier through the Octroi naka.

4. Toll Naka: He has asked us to submit names of resident members on our letter head. He will issue instructions to the toll naka not to collect toll.

This is good news for us...Cheers!

Good news: More Hari Om Nagar residents are joining

I have some good news for us. Many residents from other societies are joining us in our campaign. After an initial pilot of pamphlet distribution, we have had many people calling us and wanting to join our campaign. I will publish the list of new joinees soon.

Pamplet matter in hindi marathi and english has been created and is ready for print. We will need volunteers to distribute it.

We have also organized a stall at the main hari om nagar entrance this Sunday. We will appeal to people to support and join us in our cause.

Plan of action

Here is the plan of action and responsibilites members have taken for our cause:

1. Pamplets: We will print pamplets to send message to all residents of hari om nagar highlighting our issues and appealing to join us
2. Pamplet message drafting in english will be done by Prakash Chaudhari. Marathi will be done by Bhoopesh Chavan
3. Designing and printing will be done by Vishal Phale
4. Letter to Navghar Police chowki, BMC ward officer, political parties, corporator, sitting MP, MLA, Commissioner, Polution control board, DCP Police, Police Commisioner: draft by Prakash. Conversion into Marathi by Bhoopesh Chavan, delivery Vishal Phale
5. Meeting with Chaitanya Parekh: To be organized by Anil Mankar. We will meet him to help us introduce to all other socities in hari om nagar so that they can also join us in this good cause. He had promised help in the past and we expect him to cooperate and help.
6. Meeting with Corporator, sitting MP, MLA: Anil Mankar to organize
7. Meeting with Raj Thakrey: Mangesh Doiphode
8. PIL draft: Prakash to find lawyer who can draft a PIL for us to file in court

Volunteer members met today to discuss plan of action to fight these issues with BMC and government.

Hari Om Nagar Residents Association

Residents of Hari Om Nagar pay 3.42 lakhs per month in toll. This is 41.04 lakhs per year!!!

In spite of paying close to 2.23 crore property tax every year!!!!

What do we get in return from corporation?

We get...

Dumping ground: smell, encroachers, dust all around our buildings and smoke.

We get.....

No street lights: BMC closed the approach road for us and in spite of the area been developed since last 5 years there is no street light for us

We get.....

No police chowki: Illlegal activies get carried out near our area and the police is not concerned

Now to add to problems we have no autos to ply us during an emergency. We will have to walk 1.5 kms to get to check naka. Amidst drunken truck drivers when the Octroi naka gets developed.

Please read.......last night one of our lady resident member was coming into Hari Om Nagar from Mulund. The auto driver stopped the auto just after the closed police chowki and giving her a cunning look demanded money. She threw all the money she had and ran from there......

Our lady members will face this problem even more when the Octroi starts!!!! Please remember that there will be truck loads of people all night...mostly drunk....
